The Big Deer Tour gives a small group of selected uni students the opportunity to see what makes the deer farming industry special and to visit farms, processors, and companies as well as chance to meet professionals providing services to this sector.
Previous tourists and alumni have gone on to work for meat companies, become marketers, rural bankers, vets, agronomists all with deer farmer clients and of course some have gone on to be deer farmers.
The 2022 tour will take place from Tuesday 19th April to Friday22nd April. Deer Industry and the NZ Deer Farmers Association thanks all applicants for showing an interest in the industry, we are excited to announce this year’s tour party as follows.
