Now in its 14th year, the Next Generation programme is coming to the Waikato and Bay of Plenty on 6 and 7 August.
This NZDFA flagship event over two days fosters the growth of the next generation of deer farmers and industry support services through visiting deer farms and hearing farmer experiences on issues of concern; visiting supporting services or processing facilities; hearing from rural professional experts on topical issues; forming connections with other young farmers/industry people; and increasing awareness of the NZDFA and their local branches.
This year’s programme has a wide focus both behind and beyond the farm gate:
